FAQ: Can I use a Visa/Master Card Gift Card

We can take Visa/Mastercard gift cards. Our credit card processor uses AVS or Address Verification System. AVS is used when the merchant verifies credit card data, such as billing address and ZIP code, against the Visa/MasterCard billing information of the cardholder. AVS verifies that the billing address of the credit or debit card matches the address that was given by the customer. Gift cards do not have a billing address associated with them so the card will get declined if it does not have a billing address added to it. You will need to call the 1-800 number on the back of the card and let them know you need to add an AVS address. They do it all the time so they will know what you are talking about and it only takes a couple of minutes.

If the amount of the order exceeds the total balance of the gift card we will need to process the order for you over the phone. Phone: 806-832-5190 Monday thru Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST. Our website will only accept one form of payment. To get around this we run the Visa / MC gift card for the amount of the card and issue you a MotorcycleGear.com store credit gift certificate. The remaining balance can be paid through PayPal or put on your personal credit/debit card.

NOTE If you get the order and something does not fit you can return the item, but we can’t refund a gift card back to the card, so if your order results in a return of something we’d issue store credit for the return rather than a refund back to the gift card.
